2025 WR Thomas Blackshear Commits to Georgia Football

Thomas Blackshear, a wide receiver from Calvary Day, has committed to Georgia, giving Georgia another commit in the 2025 class.

Colleges throughout the nation will be ready to welcome the best athletes in the country for formal visits as spring warms up and transitions into summer. This is the time of year when 2025 class spaces start to fill up and commitments start to fly off the board. Georgia added their ninth commitment on Sunday, bringing their total to eight.

Despite missing five games in his junior year due to injury, he still managed to record 27 receptions for 551 yards and five touchdowns. His totals came to 20.4 yards per grab on average, and he also had two defensive interceptions.

For the 2022 season, Blackshear was a student at Benedictine in Savannah. In addition to 10 more touchdowns, he had 41 catches for 641 yards (15.6 ypc). He was a key member of the winning GHSA Class 4A state team.
