Colorado football was the talk of the town last week. But not everything was as sunny as it was the previous year. One of the numerous players that left the programme after Deion Sanders came, a former Colorado player, talked about their experience there and the treatment they and others endured. Positive responses to the former players were abundant. Then there was Shedeur, the son of Deion.
Deion Sanders and the Buffs have not been heard from in a week. While not entirely forgotten, it has undoubtedly stopped making the news. This week, Deion explained why it all occurred.
Deion Sanders acknowledged, I have to improve on that and refuse to accompany it. I was bored, though. Sanders added that he didn’t think he did anything illegal and that he didn’t attack anyone. That shouldn’t come as a big surprise, but Sanders most likely made a mistake in this instance. He lacked self-control. A college football coach shouldn’t start tweeting at prospective players or former players out of boredom. Whether he believes he done something wrong in this instance may not be up to him.

In an article that was published on Monday, former Colorado safety Xavier Smith told the Athletic that Deion Sanders “was destroying guys’ confidence and belief in themselves” and that he “never even tried to get to know me.
Shedeur Deion Sanders said he couldn’t recall Smith’s identity in a post on X, the former Twitter. Shedeur Sanders wrote, “Bro had to be very mid at best,” implying that Smith was merely a mediocre player. After experiencing injury problems during his brief tenure at Colorado, Smith made it to the FCS Austin Peay freshman All-America team in 2023 and has since accompanied coach Scotty Walden to UTEP. Following Deion Sanders’ post, there was a back-and-forth exchange of derogatory remarks. When Colorado wide receiver Kaleb Mathis uploaded a video of himself outlasting Smith during a workout in the previous spring, Smith’s Austin Peay teammate Jaheim Ward pointed out that Mathis had only 38 receiving yards the previous year.
