USA TODAY Sports re-ranked college football teams for the 2024 football season, and Notre Dame was one of the nation’s top teams.
The 2024 football season is drawing up, and Notre Dame is still regarded as one of the best teams in the country. In the most recent team rankings for the 2024 campaign, published by USA TODAY Sports, Notre Dame was placed among the top five teams.
In the previous USA TODAY Sports rankings, Notre Dame was rated seventh; however, in the amended rankings, the Irish are now placed fifth. This is a post-spring update, and the rise in rankings was brought about by a combination of Notre Dame’s spring football success and roster changes in college football.
Out of the opponents of Notre Dame, three were ranked in the Top 25, while one was slightly outside. With a rating of No. 8, Florida State is Notre Dame’s highest-ranked opponent. On November 9th, the Irish will host the Seminoles. 16th place went to Louisville in the most recent standings. On September 28, Louisville will visit Notre Dame. Notre Dame is Ranked Fifth
Prior to this, Florida State was rated 15th, USC was ranked 22nd, and the Cardinals were not ranked. Texas A&M, who is currently placed No. 26 in the standings, will host Notre Dame on August 31st to begin the 2024 season.
